Magnolia Motor Speedway Hosts 2022 Governor’s Cup on Saturday, July 16

COLUMBUS, Miss. (07/05/2022) – Magnolia Motor Speedway will host the 2022 edition of the Governor’s Cup on Saturday, July 16. The event will feature a special event for The William Wells 3 Star Tire and Auto Factory Stocks ($1,000-to-win). Also in action will be the Twin River Auto Sales Crate Late Models, Trak-Star Street Stocks, Murphy Towing Late Model Sportsman, Eaton Clinic Modifieds, and Eaton Clinic Hot Shots.

All Classes will receive CRUSA Points and Track Points.

Factory Stocks will qualify during hot laps. Factory Stock will pay a $10 points fee and $10 transponder fee only.

On Saturday, July 16th the pit gate opens at 3:00pm CST with the grandstand gates opening at 5:00 pm. The driver’s meeting is at 6:30pm SHARP with hot laps at 7:30pm.

Grandstand admission is $15 with seniors (ages 65+and active military) $10 with Kids (ages 10 and under) free. Pit admission for adults is $30 with kids (ages 6-10) $20 and children (ages 5-and-under) free.

Speedzone/Trackside parking is available in any unreserved spot for $15, with purchase of grandstand pass(es).

Please note that Super Late Models will not be part of the 2022 Governor’s Cup due to a schedule conflict with another Super Late Model special in the state. To do our part to ensure that the cars aren’t divided, Magnolia Motor Speedway has elected to not run the division at this year’s Governor’s Cup.

Open practice is scheduled on Friday, July 15 from 7-10pm CST.
