602 Sportsman World Championship Set for Memorial Day at The Mag!

Columbus, Miss. (05/16/23) – Magnolia Motor Speedway hosts the 602 Sportsman World Championship (Southern Thunder Series) on May 26 – 28, which is highlighted by a $4,000-to-win / $300-to-start finale.

Also in action will be the S & J Auto Sales Crate Late Models (Sunday only), Trak-Star Street Stocks, Twin River Auto Sales CRUSA Modifieds, William Wells Three Star Tire and Auto Factory Stocks and The Eaton Clinic Hot Shots will race features on Saturday and Sunday evening.

On Friday, May 26 the weekend kicks off with an Open Practice from 7-10 p.m. featuring all classes.

On Saturday, May 27 Sportsman will qualify followed by heat races ($400-to-win) on Saturday. Sportsman heat races will be CRUSA Point Races. Joining the program will be Trak-Star Street Stocks ($600-to-win), The Twin River Auto Sales CRUSA Modifieds ($400-to-win), Williams Wells Three Star Tire and Auto Factory Stock ($400-to-win) and The Eaton Clinic Hot Shots $150-to-Win with complete features on Saturday Night.

Sunday, May 28 finds the Sportsman World Championship final night, which includes B-Mains and a $4,000-to-win, 50-lap feature. Additionally, S & J Auto Sales Crate Late Model ($1,000-to-win), Trak-Star Street Stocks ($700-to-win), Twin River Auto Sale CRUSA Modifieds $(600-to-win), Williams Wells Three Star Tire and Auto Factory Stock ($500-to-win), and The Eaton Clinic Hot Shots ($300-to-win) will be in action with complete features Sunday.

The driver’s meeting is at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday with racing to follow.

Saturday, May 27 Sportsman will Qualify and Run Heat Races.
Sportsman Heat Races will be CRUSA Point Races. HEATS 1- $400, 2- $200, 3- $175, 4- $125, 5- $100, 6- $90, 7- $80, 8- $70, 9- $60, 10-20 $50. (Number of Heats will be determined by car count.)

Sunday, May 28 Sportsman will Run B-Mains and 50 Lap Feature.
Sunday 1- $4,000, 2- $2,000, 3- $1,500, 4- $1,000, 5- $800, 6- $700, 7- $600, 8- $575, 9- $550, 10- $525, 11- $500, 12- $475, 13- $450, 14- $425, 15- $400, 16- $375, 17- $350, 18- $325, 19-24 $300.

602 Sportsman MORE Than 60 Cars we will run a Non-Qualifier Race SUNDAY $500-to-WIN (Winner can choose to forfeit the winnings and start Feature).

The 602 entry fee is $150, Plus Transponder Fee.
