Magnolia to Host Both CRUSA Tours in July

(Eastaboga, AL - 6/17/24) - The 20th Annual Governor's Cup at Magnolia Motor Speedway will welcome both national tours in July. The "MAG" will host the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series for the 25th time on Friday and Saturday, July 12th & 13th, featuring a $10,000-to-win feature event. Drivers and teams from across the South will converge on Columbus, MS, vying to add their name to the prestigious list of series winners at Magnolia. Past winners include Ronnie Johnson, Jimmy Owens, Mike Boland, Jay Blair, Derrick Rainey, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth, Tanner English, Eric Cooley, Justin McBee, Jeremy Shaw, Chase Washington, Scott Dedwylder, Cliff Williams, Evan Ellis, Riley Hickman, Darrell Lanigan, Will Herrington, Randall Beckwith, Mark Whitener, and the "Dirt Doctor" himself, Johnny Stoakes. Stoakes, now the operator of the thrilling 3/8 mile Magnolia Motor Speedway, has a unique approach to preparing the notoriously challenging gumbo surface, ensuring an electrifying weekend of racing.

Magnolia Motor Speedway will also welcome back the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Late Model Sportsman Tour for their second visit in 2024. The series most recently appeared on May 25th and 26th for the 602 World Championship, where Russellville, AL driver Bryson Mitchell claimed the $4,000 prize ahead of Jarrett Jones and Tyler Burgess. The main event for the 602 late models will offer a $2,000-to-win prize on Saturday night, with a non-points event scheduled for Friday night, July 12th, allowing drivers and teams to compete for weekly points.

Magnolia Motor Speedway is conveniently located in Columbus, MS, near the intersection of U.S. Highways 82 and 45. Joining the CRUSA series will be CRUSA Modifieds, CRUSA Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Hot Shots, promising two thrilling nights of racing.
